Laser Vascular & Vein Treatment for Clearer, Calmer Skin
Reduce the look of visible veins, facial redness, rosacea-related flushing, vascular lesions, and brown spots with customized care designed for natural-looking results.
Understanding Vascular & Vein Treatment
Visible facial vessels, leg veins, persistent redness, and uneven pigment can make skin look more reactive or uneven than it feels. At Regionelle, treatment is selected around the specific concern, the depth and color of the vessel or pigment, your skin type, and your goals.

Our Vascular & Vein Treatments
There is no one “best” treatment for every visible vein, red spot, or brown spot. Regionelle uses the Lumenis Stellar M22 to personalize care with intense pulsed light (IPL), long-pulsed Nd:YAG, and Q-switched Nd:YAG laser technologies. IPL uses controlled flashes of broad-spectrum light to address small visible vessels, redness, and brown pigment. Long-pulsed Nd:YAG can treat more defined or deeper vascular concerns, while Q-switched Nd:YAG is used for selected pigment concerns and skin toning.
Reduce the Appearance of Leg Veins
Treatment Planning:
Small spider veins and select blue-purple reticular veins on the legs may be treated with laser or light-based technology when they are primarily a cosmetic concern. During your assessment, we evaluate the veins’ color, size, depth, location, and any symptoms you may have. If veins are bulging, painful, accompanied by swelling, or linked to suspected venous insufficiency, we may recommend medical evaluation or a vein-focused treatment such as sclerotherapy instead.
Treatment Options:
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Vascular Laser (long-pulsed Nd:YAG)
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Light Therapy (IPL)
How This Treatment Works:
The vascular laser sends targeted energy into the visible vessel, where it is absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood. This heats the vessel in a controlled way, encouraging it to close and gradually fade as the body clears it. IPL may be appropriate for selected superficial vascular concerns, while Nd:YAG is commonly used when a vessel is deeper or more defined.
Best for:
- Small spider veins on the legs
- Selected blue or purple reticular veins
- Cosmetic leg veins without concerning symptoms
- Patients seeking a non-surgical approach
- People who understand that several sessions may be needed
Results:
- Some treated veins may look darker, redder, or more pronounced temporarily before fading.
- Improvement often becomes more noticeable over several weeks.
- A series of treatments may be recommended based on the number and depth of visible veins.
- Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or temporary bruising can occur, with little to no interruption to most normal activities.
Clear Deeper Vascular Lesions
Treatment Planning:
Deeper vascular lesions and more defined visible vessels require a treatment approach that can reach farther below the skin’s surface. We evaluate whether the lesion is appropriate for cosmetic laser treatment, its size and depth, your skin type, and whether medical evaluation is needed before treatment. Any new, changing, bleeding, or uncertain lesion should be examined before cosmetic treatment is considered.
Treatment Option:
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Vascular Laser (long-pulsed Nd:YAG)
How This Treatment Works:
The Stellar M22 long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser is designed to target larger or deeper vascular concerns than surface-focused light treatments. The laser energy is absorbed by blood within the vessel, heating it in a controlled manner while the device’s treatment settings and cooling approach help protect nearby skin. The treated vessel gradually becomes less visible over time.
Best for:
- Selected deeper vascular lesions
- More defined red, purple, or blue vessels
- Visible vessels that are not well-suited to superficial IPL alone
- Patients seeking treatment without surgery
- Adults with realistic expectations about gradual improvement
Results:
- The appearance of a treated lesion may change temporarily before it fades.
- Results develop gradually as the body clears the treated vessel.
- Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on the lesion’s depth, size, and response.
- Temporary redness, swelling, or tenderness is possible; more significant side effects are uncommon but should be discussed during consultation.
Calm Rosacea and Facial Redness
Treatment Planning:
Rosacea-related redness, frequent flushing, and visible facial capillaries can be frustrating because they may make skin look irritated even when you feel well. We assess your redness pattern, visible vessels, skin sensitivity, history of rosacea flares, and current skin-care routine to determine whether intense pulsed light is appropriate. Laser and light treatment can improve visible redness and vessels, but it does not cure rosacea or replace medical management when needed.
Treatment Option:
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
How This Treatment Works:
Intense pulsed light uses broad-spectrum light that can be filtered and tailored to target visible redness and small surface blood vessels. Hemoglobin absorbs the light energy, helping reduce the appearance of redness and visible capillaries over a series of treatments. The Stellar M22 IPL technology is used for photorejuvenation concerns including rosacea and vascular redness.
Best for:
- Diffuse facial redness
- Rosacea-related flushing and visible capillaries
- Redness around the cheeks, nose, chin, or jawline
- Patients seeking gradual, natural-looking improvement
- People willing to maintain results with sun protection and skin-care guidance
Results:
- Skin may look flushed or feel warm shortly after treatment.
- Most patients need a series of sessions for more meaningful improvement.
- Visible redness and capillaries can fade gradually over the following weeks.
- Rosacea can flare again over time, so maintenance treatment and a skin-health plan may be recommended.
Fade Age Spots and Refine Skin Tone
Treatment Planning:
Age spots, sun spots, freckles, and uneven pigment can make skin look older or less even. We first determine whether the spot appears appropriate for cosmetic treatment and assess your skin tone, pigment pattern, sun exposure, and treatment goals. New, irregular, rapidly changing, bleeding, or suspicious lesions should be evaluated medically rather than treated cosmetically.
Treatment Options:
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
- Lumenis Stellar M22 – Pigment Laser (Q-switched Nd:YAG)
How This Treatment Works:
Intense pulsed light can target excess brown pigment while also helping address diffuse redness, making it useful when skin tone is uneven for more than one reason. A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser releases energy in extremely short pulses to break up selected pigment into smaller particles that the body can gradually clear. The Stellar M22 Q-switched Nd:YAG module is used for skin toning through treatment of pigmented lesions and for dark tattoo removal.
Best for:
- Benign age spots and sun-related brown spots
- Freckles and selected pigmentation concerns
- Uneven-looking skin tone
- Patients with a mix of visible redness and brown discoloration
- People committed to daily sun protection after treatment
Results:
- Treated pigment may darken before it lightens or flakes away.
- Improvement develops gradually over days to weeks, depending on the concern and treatment selected.
- A series of treatments may be recommended for diffuse pigmentation or broader skin-toning goals.
- Temporary redness, swelling, mild peeling, or pigment changes can occur; sun avoidance and sunscreen are essential during the treatment process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your consultation starts with a detailed evaluation of the size, color, and depth of your veins or redness, along with your skin type, sun history, and medical history. From there, you'll receive a personalized plan. It may use the Nd:YAG laser, IPL, the Q-switched laser, or a staged combination, or you may be referred for a different treatment if laser is not the best fit.
Laser treatment works best for spider veins and small reticular veins. Large, bulging, or painful varicose veins often come from an underlying circulation issue and usually need evaluation by a vascular specialist. Some smaller leg veins also respond better to sclerotherapy. If laser isn't the right fit, your care team will explain why and help you understand your next step.
Facial treatments usually feel like a quick warm snap with each pulse. Leg vein treatment can feel more intense, often a sharp, hot snap. The Stellar M22 uses continuous contact cooling to help minimize discomfort, and your care team can adjust your comfort plan as needed.
Many patients need a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart, especially for leg veins and rosacea. Small facial vessels and age spots may improve in fewer visits. Facial vessels often fade within a few weeks, while leg veins can take two to three months. Pigment typically darkens and flakes away within one to two weeks.
Treated veins and vessels are typically long-lasting, though an occasional vessel may need a touch-up. New veins, redness, and spots can still develop over time because of genetics, hormones, and sun exposure. Laser can significantly reduce visible rosacea redness, but it does not cure rosacea, so occasional maintenance sessions and daily sun protection help sustain your results.
Treatment is typically postponed during pregnancy, with a recent tan or self-tanner, or with an active skin infection in the area. Certain medications that increase light sensitivity, recent isotretinoin use, and a history of keloid scarring may also affect whether or when you can be treated. Be sure to share your full medical history and medication list during your consultation.
